People are confused by the endless choices offered for wedding albums. I would like to take this opportunity to discuss the types of Digital Wedding Albums and Traditional Albums I offer:

The Press Printed Wedding Album

Here is the literature for the Press Printed Books from White House Custom Color:

WHCC Press Printed Books are unmatched in print quality, craftsmanship and turnaround with most books shipping next day! Press Printed Books are available in three paper options (standard, semi-gloss hinged, and pearl hinged) and several sizes including 5×5, 5×7, 8.5×11, 8×8, 10×10, 12×12 and 11×14.

All press book covers are made with masonite to give the books a smooth, substantial feel. Eight cover material options are available including black, chocolate brown and tan fabric; black, dark brown and dark red leather; and a custom printed photo cover in lustre or metallic. Photo covers are made with a photographic print that is laminated and adhered to the masonite cover. The photo cover allows for complete customization on the front, spine, and back of the book using your own images and designs. Additionally, enhance the cover of your book with a photographic dust jacket or cover foil stamping. A dust jacket is a photographic print laminated and creased to wrap around the cover of the book. It protects the cover and provides another option to personalize your book by using images, text and graphics. Cover foil stamping allows you to place three lines of text on the front cover in one of three places: the center of the book, the lower right corner, or the bottom center. Foil stamping is only available on leather covers.

Like all our press printed cards and products, press printed books are printed with the same HP Indigo printing technology with liquid inks. Book pages are printed on either 100# text weight semi-gloss paper or 110# hinged paper in semi-gloss or pearl. The hinged paper allows open pages to lay flat a as well as provides a thicker, more upscale paper option. Hinged paper can also be UV coated for added protection and a glossy look and feel. Book pages are stitched together to create the book block that is adhered to the cover using black cardstock end sheets. Books are priced as a base book with a cover and 20 printed sides. Additional sides are available for up to a maximum of 90 sides on 100# text paper and 50 sides on the lay flat hinged paper.

The Flush Mount Wedding Album

These albums are produced by Kambara USA (click link for examples) in Portland, OR (where I used to live). A fantastic product made with the finest materials. The upscale Flush Mount albums differ from the Press Printed Albums several ways:

1. Archival materials
2. Presentation box included
3. Thick non-bendable pages
4. Cover selection. You can have a multitude of different designs and materials placed on your covers (including metallic or photographic overlays).
5. Stitched spine

Finally, for those couples desiring a more traditional album, I carry the Ambiance albums (click link for examples) also made my Kambara USA. These are high quality albums with traditional mats. Kambara offers a large selection of pre-cut mats or you can custom design the page yourself!

How long does it take to receive my album?
Film requires extra time for processing, scanning, and digitizing, especially if I shoot my special effect cameras such as the Horizon Perfekt (see examples below)

Thus, if I shoot film, it generally takes 2-3 weeks until I have the images digitized. The album layout design takes an additional 2-3 weeks.

I am happy to make changes to the album design to accommodate my client’s tastes. Of course, the more changes I make, the longer the delay in ordering the album.

Once the final design has been approved, Press Printed Albums take a few days to order and ship.

Flush Mount and Traditional Mat albums are all custom ordered and take 4-6 weeks to assemble and ship.
