Macro-shot of the rings and digital B&W infrared of the trees near the river.

Jeremy & Rebecca were married at a sprawling spread of land near the Raven Rock State Park in Fuquay-Varina.  Unfortunately, thunderstorms threatened all day.  It started downpouring at the time we were scheduled to start shooting formals.  Luckily, there was a back-up plan as the guests and groom took cover under the tent (pictures below).

The rains did stop (eventually) and the sun peaked out from behind the clouds.

As you can tell from several of these vantage images: I was lying on the ground.

I did get rather wet.  However, you can not be a self-respecting wedding photographer if you do not get dirty.  After all, it is not about my comfort.

The bridal party arrived in classic cars.

Two more photographs using the digital infrared.  As you can see, anything alive glows a surreal white.  A very useful camera to have at beautiful outdoor venues.

Digital infrared (not converted to B&W) straight out of the camera.

Another shot lying on the still-wet ground.  +2 flash exposure and -2 exposure in camera darkens the background tremendously.

You can not fake sunsets like this.  I have waited (often in vain) too many times for sunrises and sunsets while traveling internationally.  After a while, you can tell when it is going to be a good sunset.

Sorry guys, but I loved this shot.  Guess you are not champagne types (neither am I) :) .

Two flash setup in the main tent during the bouquet toss.

Congratulations Jeremy & Rebecca.  Thanks for letting me be a (big) part of your wedding day.
