Travel photography website- revamp
I lost count of how many countries I visited over the years. My travels were fantastic experiences and I look forward to continuing the adventures when my son is older. Old enough, at least to say “Dad, I think the whatever (insert name of foreign & exotic food) did not agree with me.”
The majority of my travel photography shots were shot with traditional film cameras. I love slide film. Since the world has switched to digital, I have to manually scan & digitize the tens of thousands of labeled 35mm slides in my home.
The external hard drive companies are going to love me-especially since each file size is 105 mb (really, really big for non-computer people out there) before corrections.
This is going to take a long time.
I have worked my way through three of the filing cabinet drawers. Mexico, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Tunisia are almost done. Guatemala and Nepal are next. The travel website will be undertaking a dramatic makeover eventually.
Here are a few previews:

Ribat (Islamic fort) in Tunisia. Sunrise, the nirvana of photographers. Tunisia, not a bad place to awaken early. Turkish coffee shops litter the streets, and that coffee is STRONG!

Cambodia. America is a great place in many ways. But our politics suck. Why were we supporting the Khmer Rouge and the genocide that ensued?
Because they were not Communists. Great reason, huh?
Perhaps we should focus on humanity instead.

Vancouver. Gorgeous town. They give parking tickets out like candy though!

Tunisia. I should have grabbed one of those carpets and ran like a demon. Can’t say the thought did not cross my mind. Never could afford to buy one.

What’s a quick way to end your marriage?
Tell your wife she is getting out of bed at 4am on your honeymoon to watch sunrise over Moai statues on Easter Island.
She did thank me later.
Two years later.
As always, your thoughts and comments are appreciated! More photographs are available on my travel website here or through Alamy.
