JoAnna & Toby engagement photographs
Last Sunday I had the opportunity to spend a little time at the Duke Gardens with JoAnna and Toby. We had a great time and I enjoyed working with this fun couple.
This has been a weird fall. I expected the colors to be at their height this week, and after checking several fall foliage calendars on the internet, this week was predicted to be the most colorful.
The reason I am telling this story is because I ran through the entire gardens looking for colorful trees. I did find them…
…smack dab in the middle in the parking lot.
I had to shoot from below to get the minvans out of the picture.
I can not visit the Duke Gardens without pulling out the Digital Infrared. I love the crazy “glow” you get when you photograph living objects.
The final shot of the morning is a digital composite of 20-25 small JPEG images shot in panorama style. With this technique you achieve a truly panoramic image with a depth of field that is impossible to accomplish with a normal lens. The final image is enormous.
Sorry to wake you up so early!
Best wishes
