Engagement photographs at the Duke Gardens
This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Melissa and Matthew at the Duke Gardens, my favorite place to photograph in the Raleigh-Durham area.
The portrait above is digital infrared. I love this camera and the “glow” it produces in foliage and skintones.
If you meter off of the sun, you underexpose the foreground by 4-5 stops, creating a perfect silhouette.
My favorite photograph of the day. I was laying in a patch of mud at the end of the bridge attempting to get the picnicking family in the background out of the shot.
Guess I should not have worn a white shirt.
A fun shot I like to shoot. Very easy to accomplish with the dramatic sidelighting of the setting sun.
To finish the day, a few shots with the 50m f1.4 and some close-ups of the lucky couple.
Thanks Matt and Melissa and congratulations on your engagement.
