Mt. Airy wedding photography- Brian & Kelley
…..or, a CITY BOY IN THE COUNTRY PHOTOGRAPHS A WEDDING.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to travel to Mt. Airy (better known as “Mayberry” and home to actor Andy Griffith) to photograph the wedding of Brian & Kelley. The weather looked dismal all day. Luckily, the sun appeared for several hours and we had an amazing sunset during the formal photographs.

The couple were married the Wolf Creek Farm B&B in VA, an absolutely gorgeous spread of land on the Virginia/North Carolina border. I was able to get some fantastic photographs of the fall foliage, as well as B&W infrared.

This wedding day had everything:
a bag-piper who appeared mysteriously from the woods,
horses – one whom stepped on the Bride’s dress and left a huge hoofprint (photograph not shown),
transportation courtesy of 4×4 Mules and occasionally a Ford F-150,
surprise fireworks and sparklers,
a DJ who sang,
a Celtic hand-fasting ceremony
boxing gloves,
one rubber chicken,
and some fantastic moments from a group of really fun and warming people!

I even learned that horses do not bite!

Congratulations Brian and Kelley. Your wedding day was as unique as you two.
And my Prius did not get stuck on the dirt road, or fall apart!
Sincerely,
Ryan Fox
